The National Certification Corporation (NCC), a 501(c)(6) organization, has promoted quality health care by providing nationally accredited certification opportunities and continuing education since 1975. NCC certified nurses and nurse practitioners provide care in the obstetric, neonatal and women's health care specialties.

NCC and the other Certifying Boards listed here have partnered to create the new "Certified Nurses Make a Difference" PSA campaign to inform the public about the value of certified specialty nurses. Throughout life, from primary to critical and advanced care, certified specialty nurses make a difference.
